Биография: Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire образовались в 2006 (Денвер, штат Колорадо) и в том же году, своими силами выпускают EP «Harmonies From Bleeding Mouths». Первый полноформатник, «Omega Drunk on the Blood of Alpha» дебютировал в 2008 на Debello Recordings.
Звучание группы было охарактеризовано как «funeral grind», т.к. это слишком медленно для grindcore и слишком быстро для doom, общий саунд был похож на такие коллективы как: Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer, Discordance Axis, Eyehategod и Napalm Death.

В 2010 выпускают новый альбом «Songs of Ill-Hope and Desperation» на Prosthetic Records.

В настоящее время неустанно гастролируют по всей Северной Америке.
